Mom's Awake
Mom is awake and ready for the darn tube to come out. Now begins the waiting game of making sure she can breath well enough to take the tube out. She basically has to go "x" amount of hours overbreathing the machine before they will take it out. She was saying "HELP ME" through the tube and it just about broke my heart. The doctor is with her now explaining what is going on and Dad is on his way back to the hospital. Now -- the key is that she must remain calm. If she does not then they will sedate her and the clock with start all over again. And as tough as it is to see her with the tube I do not want them to take it out then half to put it back in. She is strong -- praise God -- so now she just needs to use that strength to stay calm and "just keep breathing, just keep breathing". (Sing the last part as Dori in Finding Nemo would ... just keep swimming, just keep swimming!)
