MRI Results: What do you mean?

Fice nonrib-bearing, lumbar type segments are noted. Alignment is preserved. There is an abnormal T1 inhomogenous appearance of the marrow of all visualized thoracolumbar and sacral segments including vertebral bodies and posterior elements. There also multiple, focal STIR hyperintensity lesions involving the superior L2 vertebral body and T11 and T12 vertebral bodies and pedicles as well as L1 spinous process and multiple other focal areas, findings suspicious for diffue metastatic disease or infiltrative process (e.g. myeloma, lymphoma). Anemia is considered unlikely.

A diffuse T1 and hyperintense marrow abnormality involving the L2 vertebral body is noted with corresponding stir hyperintensity and subtle depression of the superior endplate suggestive of a pathologic endplate fracture.

At L1-L2: Moderate facet arthrosis is noted.
At L2-L3: Moderate the severe facet arthrosis is noted. The central canal is widely patent as are the neural foramina.
L3-L4: The central canal and neural foramina are widely patent. Moderate facet arthrosis bilaterally.
L4-L5: There is moderate facet arthrosis. The centrum foramina are widely patent.
L5-S1: Moderate facet arthrosis bilaterally. The central canal and formina are widely patent.

IMPRESSION:
Exam demonstrates diffue infiltrative marrow process suspect for metastatic disease or primary marrow maligancy. A pathologic, superior endplate fracture of L2 is noted with slight endplate depression without retropulsion or significant vertebral body collapse. The spinal canal and neural foramina are developmentally widely patent.
