Breathing

Our next project is to get Mom off the ventilator. They are slowly turning down the support of the machine and she is increasing breathing on her own. Her sedation has been reduced but she is still not awake. She has undergone so much that she must be completely exhausted. I am not looking forward to the few hours of transition from the ventilator to no machine ... but I am looking forward to Mom waking up and tell us how she feels.
