Dr. Salahudeen - The Renal Doctor

I met again with Dr. Salahudeen who leads the Nephrology department. He said that mom is responding well to the dialysis and that she produced a bit more urine than the day before. He stated that she will skip a day of dialysis in order to give her body the opportunity to produce urine. He said that when you do dialysis sometimes the body thinks it does not have to urinate since there is less fluid due to the dialysis ... so tomorrow mom will be given the chance to see what she can do then we will resume dialysis again on Thursday. This is working out great as if her platelets are OK she will get her second dose of Velcade which cannot have dialysis on either side of the treatment.
