PICC Line Inserted

They are in the process of inserting a PICC line for Mom. (www.wikipedia.org/wiki/PICC_line) This will allow them to get the blood and other medicine to her quickly. They don't have to poke her everytime they need to draw blood. Addison had one when she was in ICU as a new born baby. I explained it to mom and she understood. I told her that if Addison could handle it then she could handle it to -- she agreed. Now ... give us that BLOOD! Since mom has myeloma they have to "type" it twice in order to make sure she gets the right thing due to her type of cancer. MD Anderson is completely full so everyone is backed up and we are going into a holiday weekend. Please pray that all the labs and testing needed will get done in a timely matter and that Mom's stay will not be impacted by the holiday weekend. Mom is really "out of it" kinda of fading in and out ... she is better than earlier today we still need her to "snap out of it" and we pray that the blood transfusion will help her do that.
