Dry Heaves
Today was a very rough day for Mom. She had dialysis starting at 5:30am and it brought on a serious case of nausea with very violent dry heaves. There was nothing in Mom's stomach so there was nothing to throw up. They ordered medicine and got it to her as quickly as they could -- but Mom was already worn out. Actually she was worn out before the whole day began. The medicine knocked her out then her sat levels went down to 89. So back onto oxygen she went plus they ordered a chest x-ray. This meant hanging out on an uncomfortable stretcher while she went to and from x-ray plus the waiting in the x-ray holding area. No fun! But they need to make sure that there is no pnuemonia in her lungs. So while I am glad they are checking I am not glad that Mom had to go through the process. Her hemoglobin was in the 7's again so she received another transfusion late in the afternoon. Once they got her back to her room she was able to rest ... but she is just worn out completely. Tomorrow there is no therapy and no dialysis and no raditation and no chemo ... so hopefully she can rest all day and get ready for the week ahead. Plus the transfusion should help her energy level. Please continue to pray that Mom's kidneys start working on their own ... Dad has recommended jumper cables but I am thinking an answered prayer is what we really need!
