Waiting and Learning

So we are still in Room G980 waiting to be moved to the rehab floor. We know we are goinng to room P817 (Elevator E) but we have known that all day. I walked by the room and it looks like the person using the room is packed up and ready to go ... of course, we have been packed up all day too. So ... who knows?? Anyway ... after a nice long visit with Dad and Aunt Cathy we started learning stuff. We started with the video on taking care of the CVCs (catheters) that Mom will most likely go home with. I will actually have to pass a test proving that I can change the dressing and flush the lines with heparin. Then we watched Cancer related Fatigue and finally Nutrition and Cancer. Tomorrow we plan to watch the videos about Humor and the one about Bowel Management (and no, they aren't the same video). I also went to class today on managing side effects. Oh the joys of learning all about the C word!
