So ... the doctor had the technicians re-look at the results of the various lung tests and it appears that Mom does have tiny blood clots in her lungs which is making it hard for her to breath. The blood thinners have started reducing the clots which is why she can breath better. They think she will be released to come home tomorrow following a echo cardiogram -- which is basically an ultrasound of her heart. They do not think there are any issues with her heart but they are going to double check. This test is not painful at all.
She will most likely come home with oxygen and she will continue to get blood thinner shots. I am not sure "who" will give her the shots at the moment ... don't know if it will be me or a nurse. She continues to feel better.
