Cycle 4 of Velcade Begins

Mom started her fourth cycle of velcade and dexamethasone on Wednesday.  She is not getting much sleep due to the steriods but still seems to be doing okay.  She has four appointments with two on Wednesdays and two on Saturdays.  So she will finish the cycle on April 26 ... then she will get the results on May 15.  The chemo keeps working for a couple of weeks after you finish the cycle, hence the delay between April 26 and May 15.  She has a cardio appointment on April 29 so hopefully we will learn a bit more about what's going on with her heart.  Now that Bo (Dad) has completed tax season he will be taking Mom to most of her appointments but I will still join some of them.  My gut tells me that we are working towards a stem cell transplant in June so the goal is to get Mom as healthy and as active as possible prior to June.  So ... start the Rocky theme song and lets get going!!
