Dr. Kroll - Benign Hemotologist

So we made it in to MD Anderson to see Dr. Kroll. We decided to collect a 24 hour urine since it has been a month since she has received any treatment for cancer. Mom and Dad waited for her blood work and I dropped off the urine and went to see Mom's nurse (Jennifer). I asked Jennifer about the sleepiness and the "chemo brain". She discussed with Dr. Weber and Tiffany and they recommended that we head to the ER for evaluation. Once we met with Dr. Kroll Mom started vomiting when he moved her to the exam table. He was very nice about it and even caught her vomit in his hands. She did not have much since she is not eating very well at all. He spoke to Dr. Weber and suggested that we head home. He prescribed iron, Aranesp for anemia and different blood thinners. He could not tell whether she had new pulmonary ebolisms or not ... but he thought that based on the fact that she had taken Revlimid with blood clots being a common side effect she most likely does have blood clots. Mom and Dad headed home. David drove down so that we could wait on the pharmacy ... and after 2.5 hours we only made it home with the iron as the insurance does not cover the rest unless it is given at the clinic (go figure). So we made Mom an appointment to get an injection of Aranesp tomorrow afternoon.
