Good Lunch/Dinner

Mom sat up and had a good dinner -- sandwich, fruit and chips. She is planning to sit up for a bit to let her food settle. She is alert and watching TV. Nurse Jackie just walked in to take Mom's vitals. Jackie was the very first nurse Mom had back in January 2008. She was extraordinarily nice and very helpful. We were able to tell her how much we appreciated her kindness back then and she seemed very pleased that we remembered her so fondly. She just came on so that means that Mom will be in good hands over night. We happen to be in the room next to the original room ... we are in G975 and Mom was originally admitted to G974 back in January 2008. While the lab reports may not show it, Mom is in much better shape than she was back then. Her pain was so great back then that she had no idea where she was ... we only spent one night in G974 then we went to ICU. No fun at all!
