Dialysis Catheter Going in Now

As I type they are inserting a dialysis catheter and immediately following the procedure they will start the dialysis. The dialysis will take about 3 hours. We are hoping that this makes mom feel a lot better ... and we are hoping that it clears up the foggy, confused state that she is currently in. So -- lets all pray that this works and following dialysis we have mom back. Just because she is having dialysis now does not mean she will have it forever. Since myeloma messes up the functions of the kidneys ... dialysis is used to work for the kidneys while the myeloma drugs and radiation are given a chance to work.
