Busy, Busy, Busy

Today is a busy day ... especially the morning. We got started at 6am ... actually they woke us at 4:30am for a blood draw, to empty the trash and to ask about fluid intake. We took advantage of the early rising for Mom to sit on the potty. Today was the first time she actually felt like she needed to urinate ... and bingo, she produce a bit more than she has been. We ordered breakfast and Mom ate ... while they pounded her with questions. We train a new nursing staff just about every day. Mom did about 30 minutes of OT ... standing throwing a ball and biking with her hands. Then she followed with about 30 minutes of PT ... biking with her feet and pushing herself in her wheelchair. Right now she is taking a catnap while we wait on trannsport to take her to dialysis. She really hates dialysis as it completely wipes her out -- hopefully it will be short-term. So we are praying like crazy that her kidney function will return very soon.
