L5 is Fractured - ARGH!

The pain doctor - Dr. Ting - read the MRI from yesterday and noted that L5 is fractured. He has scheduled a vertebroplasty to repair for this Friday. He gave us the choice of Friday as an inpatient procedure or next Tuesday as an outpatient. Since we are already here and we do not want Mom to have further injury to and from the hospital or at home ... we are opting to stay here and have the procedure done. Dr. Ting is discussing with Dr. Konzen as I type ... so the rollercoaster ride continues to go up and down and back up again.

On a positive note ... Dr. Ting indicated that the tumor at T5 is still there but it has been reduced and is no longer pressing against the spinal cord. The chemo therapy should further reduce this tumor as Mom continues the cycles. He indicated that it may need repair at some point in the future -- but not right away. And we are up again!
