Bye Bye Hair

Mom has been loosing her hair throughout the melaphan chemo treatments.  So today she cut it all off ... she has about a half inch of hair all over her head.  She called herself a porcupine.  She has found some really nice wigs and her hair has started growing back.  She tells me that it is coming back with more grey which is what she wanted.  Yesterday she had a check in at MDA Anderson.  This was a mid-cycle appointment to check her blood counts -- they were all OK.  Her potassium was too high so she gets to stop the big huge potassium pill for a bit until her potassium gets too low again.  She is feeling OK but due to her lowered blood pressure she does not have much energy.  However, he blood pressure and rate are getting closer to the ranges that her cardiologist was looking for -- we will see him next week so hopefully we will get the "next steps" plan for Mom's heart.  We continue to pray that her heart condition will be improved and that the cancer drugs will be effective against the myeloma.
