No Heart Attack!

We were able to confirm today that Gram has not had a heart attack. We were trying to get her into cardio rehab so I was discussing Mom's situation with a very nice nurse at the local Memorial Hermann rehab center. She was questioning whether or not Mom had had a heart attack. Cardio rehab is covered by medicare if you have had a heart attack but it does not cover cardiomyopathy ... go figure! Anyway, the nurse needed to confirm prior to setting up Mom's rehab appointment. She called and was able to talk directly with Dr. Plana and he confirmed that Mom has NOT had a heart attack! So, this is great news! Now we will figure out another way to get her into the next level of rehab ... but since her EF is in the 50's now it will not be nearly as scary for her to "push" a bit on the exercise front.
