Heading in the Wrong Direction

Today we met with Dr. Thomas at MD Anderson.  And basically the myeloma is heading in the wrong direction.  Mom has been having some numbness from her elbow to her hand that is concerning ... so she is scheduled for a sedated MRI next month.  Dr. Thomas wants to make sure that the myeloma is not messing with Mom's spinal cord again and thus causing the numbness.  She did not get any chemo today as Dr. Thomas needs to discuss the options with the cardiologists prior to deciding which chemo to use ... it will most likely be Velcade or Revlimid.  Thankfully since Mom's EF has improved so dramatically then there are other options for fighting the cancer.  We are hoping to have some direction in the next few days.  The good news is that Mom is still feeling pretty good.
