Communication

Mom's sedation level is now 10. She is able to communicate (kinda) by pointing the letters on a chart. I can see her room from where I type in the waiting room so I can watch to see which doctors are heading in to see her. Elizabeth is with her and she has been asking (we think) about the kids and who is taking care of who ... etc. We are not sure if that is what she is asking but we think it is. She does not seem quite as scared -- though I know she is scared. Her communications do not appear to be as desparate, confused or terrified as yesterday. I want know until she can talk to us but I pray that I am correct and that she is feeling emotional better. I do know that she understands everything -- she is responding to all commands and nodding yes/no as appropriate. Go Gram Go!
