Urine Output

Mom has been pee-ing up a storm. Today her urine output was well within the normal standard of 800 to 2000 cc's per day. Mom had about 1200 cc's -- you go girl! But it takes more than just a bunch of pee-pee to get off dialysis. Her creatintine level is still too high 2.7 yesterday and 3.4 today ... normal is .8 to 1.5. Then there is the blood urea nitrogen went from 15 yesterday to 20 today. The normal range for BUN is 8 to 20 -- so while she is in the normal range it is still moving in the wrong direction. We are working on finding the right renal doctor to take over once Mom leaves MD Anderson and finding the right dialysis center. We will still be coming to MD Anderson for cancer treatment but they do not run dialysis centers once you leave the hospital ... so we are searching. We hope to meet with one of our cousin's wife's cousins this week and hopefully we can get this whole renal thing moving in the right direction!
